I am a Chartered Town Planner based in Hexham, Northumberland.  I have a broad range of experience in the town planning profession including working in Local Planning Authorities, private practice and more recently, working for the National Trust as their planning adviser for 10 years.  I set up my own business in 2012.

Planning Services

Ludman Planning can submit and manage pre-application enquiries to the Local Planning Authority and submit full planning applications/listed building consent applications on your behalf.  We can also submit and manage appeals to the Planning Inspectorate, and can assist with objection letters to development.  We carry out site appraisals, and advise on the likelihood of getting planning permission or listed building consent for a variety of different kinds of projects.

Ludman Planning Ltd. has been operating since 2012 and was incorporated in April 2018.  Ludman Planning Ltd. provides a planning consultancy service to a range of clients, ranging from individuals, to local businesses including architect firms, building surveying companies and larger organisations including the National Trust and Local Authorities.   We also work with a number of Town and Parish Councils and Neighbourhood Forums who are preparing neighbourhood plans. 

Ludman Planning Ltd. specialises in working in heritage environments, rural planning, farm diversification, appeals, third party planning objections, conservation and environmental planning, small scale housing projects and neighbourhood planning.
