Neighbourhood Planning

I provide support to parish councils and neighbourhood forums in the region to help them produce their neighbourhood plans.  I can assist with project planning, engagement strategies, formulating vision/objectives and policy areas and other aspects of neighbourhood plan preparation.  I can also assist with drafting the plan, help draft planning policies, and help you ensure that your plan meets the basic conditions as set out in the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012.  

I can give initial advice to parish councils and neighbourhood forums on neighbourhood planning and give advice about how to apply for funding.

A number of neighbourhood plans I have worked on have now passed examination, passed referendum and are now 'made'.  

These include the North Northumberland Coast Neighbourhood Plan, Stannington Neighbourhood Plan, Acomb Neighbourhood Plan, Hexham Neighbourhood Plan, Embleton Neighbourhood Plan,  Thirston Neighbourhood Plan, Lesbury Parish Neighbourhood Plan, Wooler Neighbourhood Plan, Witton Gilbert Neighbourhood Plan Whitburn Neighbourhood Plan, Longframlington Neighbourhood Plan and Lowick Neighbourhood Plan.  I am currently working with a number of parish councils who are in the process of preparing a neighbourhood plan.
